HS-Deroy charity is an organisation sponsored by (HS) and HS-Deroy Fashion and I.T. Training. Hackman Smile – Deroy (HS-Deroy) is a registered business under Registration of Business Names Act, 1963 [Act 151] as Hs-Deroy Ventures.
Everything you wanted to know about us
The charity arm was created by the visionary, Lady Abena Hackman and has impacted a small community in Kumasi, Ghana (Ashanti region).
The initiative is designed to equip orphans, widows and a selected number of street youth with industrial skills so they can constructively add value to family and community.
This organisation has trained less privileged youths and orphans and they are now skilled tailors and seamstresses. The duration of the courses are three(3) month, Six(6), One(1) year and three(3)year
Our patrons are empathetic members of our community that see the need to help the less fortunate. The quality of training is outstanding and has attracted value partners such as the University of Winneba in the central region of Ghana and with Kumasi Technical University who send interns to complete their final training modules. Our modules are certified by the National Vocational Technical Institute (NVTI) who also audit and accredit our programs. This initiative has also generated jobs in the community and we are planning to acquire a land to build a school for the growing orphans. Funds generated from sewing have also been used to support the local hospital.
In August 2021, we donated breast suction and blood pressure machines to Manyhia Hospital in Kumasi. We also sponsor our students on fun field trips to Cape Coast and Elimina Castle, Kakum Forest and many others places of interest.

Visionary Abena Hackman is the CEO and founder of HackmanSmile, HS- Deroy Fashion & IT , Birthing The Next Generation and the Entrepreneur Women Movement. Her passion is to help transform the lives of the youth, widows and the less privileged in the society .
Lady Abena Hackman, whose passion for transforming lives has birthed a charity arm dedicated to uplifting the underprivileged in Kumasi. Her mission is simple yet profound: to empower orphans, widows, and deserving street youth with industrial skills that enrich their lives and add immeasurable values through fashion etc
